Terrible Twos... avoidable or inevitable?

People have come up to me asking whether he has gone through his terrible twos yet and frankly, I find that questions incredibly insulting.  The phase terrible twos does not exonerate the parents from any accountability of their child's behavior.  Its a reflection of the lack of preparation the parent(s) have impart on their child for the next phase in their journey.  Discipline does not start when they throw their first tantrum.  It starts the first time they are doing something that they should not be doing and the knowledge they are keenly aware of their actions.
